Outdoor Activity: Orienteering

Orienteering is a popular activity for all types of group, from year 5 school children to corporate teams to veterans, probably because it's one of the most inclusive all-weather activities, and lends itself to adventure, learning and team building.

There are many types of orienteering and we design our courses and the content to complement the needs of each client. We offer simple colour-block orienteering for schools, strategy orienteering for corporate teams and fun courses for private groups.

Orienteering can be used as the glue for an adventure journey or team challenge event and as stand alone activity. We also use orienteering in many forms as a team building activity.

Some orienteering events can last just 30-minutes, others can last up to three days and the distances covered can vary similarly, from a few hundred metres in the grounds of a school to 44 kilometres (our longest course).

Orienteering Locations

We offer orienteering at sites all over the UK, in country parks, school and college grounds, forest parks and the more adventurous open terrain of the National Parks.

Many of our orienteering courses are put out specifically for our clients in their preferred locations including urban orienteering as part of an urban team building event, indoor team orienteering courses as part of a corporate team building event, and orienteering courses in the grounds of a school as permanent feature.

We have a range of adventurous orienteering courses in the Lake District, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Snowdonia and Brecon Beacons.

In the Midlands, South East and London, we use Forest Parks or create bespoke orienteering courses, often used as part of an outdoor team building event.
