Gorge Scrambling or Ghyll Scrambling?

Gorge Scrambling is, by far, our most popular outdoor activity in the Lake District with a variety of fantastic gorges throughout Cumbria. Also called ghyll scrambling (the local term for a mountain stream), this activity involves scrambling up or down the gorge amongst boulders, swimming or wading pools and climbing waterfalls. Great fun!

Gorge scrambling is usually the wettest and final activity in an outdoor adventure day or journey and is often combined with rock climbing, abseiling and/or raft building.

Prices start from £35 per person, and from £70 for an adventure day, mountain day or team building event.
